Elections 2010
The exec elections for the 2010 exec are nearly here! Ice hockey elections are an exciting time (and awesome social) where a new exec is elected to run the club. There are lots of good reasons to run for an exec position: you get to meet a whole bunch of new people, contribute something to the running of the club, and it looks amazing on your CV. Elections will be held on Friday 7th May in Coventry, probably in Crosby’s followed by Kasbah. More details to follow... There are a host of positions which you can run for which are described (in brief) below.
Easter Break
Thanks to everyone that made the Varsity match such a huge success! We had over 500 supporters in the audience, all contributing to an exceptional atmosphere, making for a great night. Coventry won 3-1 in the end, after a very closely fought battle.
Now it's time for a long hockey break, unfortunately, as Warwick have now finished this term. Training will be back on at regular times in the last week of April and we look forward to seeing you again then.
Varsity Match
This promises to be one of the biggest ice hockey events of the year for Warwick and Coventry Universities. For one night only friendships will be put aside and rivalry shall commence.
The game will be held on Monday 15th March from 8-10pm. Doors to the rink open at 7.30pm but Crosby's will be open from 6pm-1am. Tickets are only £3 and include a free shot from Crosby's as well as some fantastic drinks deals.
Hoodies and T-shirts
Next Thursday is the deadline for hoody and T-shirt orders and payments!
For those of you who don't know already, the hoodies are going to have the club logo embroidered on the front and printed on the back, as well as your name and number embroidered on the front (the same as the hoodies you might have seen some club members wearing). They will come to you at the handsome price of £18.
T-shirts are also going to have the club logo and your name embroidered on opposite breasts, and are £8.
