Floorball League
A message from the Warwick floorball team:
The University of Warwick Floorball Club is organizing an internal league in the third term. We're looking at getting teams from field hockey, warwicksnow, nordic society and all the eastern european societies that we have (russian, lithuanian and ukrainian at least) and of course our beloved Panthers.
Floorball is something like a summer version of hockey, played indoors with minimal contact but its good fun and good stick handling practice for everyone. The format is the same 5 players + goalie and couple subs would be helpful so with A and B teams and roller, we should get at least one team going.
The Floorball club has plenty of sticks, goalie kit and even goalies unless someone wants to give that a try so all you need is a tshirt and some indoor shoes.
Timing wise we're looking at starting 2nd week into the Warwick term (May) and the games would all be played in the main hall at Warwick sports centre on tuesdays, thursdays and maybe saturdays.
If anyone is interested, give me a shout and we'll see what we can do. There is also a neat trophy to be won of course ;)
Finally, I've got a random picture of an amateur floorball match to give you an idea of what it looks like: http://www.ardgrain.com/files/aberdeenshire-guide/aberdeen-oilers-floorball/aberdeen-oilers-floorball.jpg
